Marie Sharp’s Fine Foods has grown from a fledgling business in a farmhouse to today- being a national and international multichannel retailer that employs over 30 full-time employees, alongside partnering with several small farmers to cultivate and bring great flavors to your table. The company now regularly ships its hot sauces to over 37 countries around the world.
Last month, Marie Sharp’s Fine Foods achieved yet another milestone by exporting its very first shipment to Israel.
Marie Sharp’s 40th anniversary offers everyone an opportunity to reflect on Marie Sharp’s cultural impact and influence on the food and agriculture industry.
The company is excited to be celebrating its 40th anniversary with the following:
- The launching of a slogan competition encouraging all Belizeans to participate and recall their earliest Marie Sharp’s memories.
- The release of a special label, look out for it in stores soon.
In a special interview with founder Marie Sharp, she stated, “Keeping in touch with customers has enabled us to indulge in new and upcoming food trends, developing them into products, and offering them to our ever-growing Belizean palates.”
In 1981 Marie Sharp explored at her home kitchen the art of making some hot sauces after farming some of her favorite habaneros. This quickly grew as her friends and family locally and abroad enjoyed her special hot sauce. Today, Marie is thankful for the overwhelming Belizean support over the years. Looking forward, the future for Marie Sharp Fine Foods is bright; and the company will continue, as it always has, to focus on providing customers with the best quality products and service.
